Post-San Diego

It's over! After more than three exciting months in San Diego I'm back in Switzerland. It's freezing, cloudy, a bit depressing and the folks - yes the people on the streets and in the shopping centers are kind of different as I'm accustomed from San Diego... Yes, travel to San Diego was the best decision which I could make. Additionally great was to spend this time together with my brother Daniel! I've met some very kind people over there - I'll see with whom of them I can stay in touch.

Of course, I'm also happy to be back! To see my friends and family again. To have my old and common environment. I think I never would leave Switzerland forever, but I could imagine to spend every now and then a few weeks in San Diego.

What else? The end of this year is right around the corner! I'm really excited to pick up my training again and prepare myself for my next season goals! I strongly hope that I'll have a successful year, but why not?

Wish you a pleasant New Year's Eve and all the best for 2010!

San Diego, USA (8)

The Week in Florida is over. Tomorrow we are gonna fly back to San Diego and enjoy once again La Jolla. Since last Sunday we've stayed in Florida first three days in Key West with awesome hot summer weather before we moved to Ft. Lauderdale. Unfortunately, not only we changed but also the weather did. The last few days we've had unusually bad weather! First heavy rain then it became much colder and still cloudy. That was really too bad.

Not enough - we've been sure that xmas eve will be on Wednesday so our flight back to San Diego must be on Monday so that we are able to set off home on Tuesday and arrive home at.... xmas.
With this knowledge we headed off to Miami Airport wanted check in but there was no flight at that day... wow. Too much. Wasn't sure if I should laugh or better cry - and so was my brother. Do you know the movie "The Terminal" with Tom Hanks? I've felt myself like this Viktor Navorski in that movie because we'd spent almost six hours at the airport before we got our room in the airport hotel. Keep smiling. By the way, meanwhile we know that xmas is going to be next Thursday!

At the bottom line our trip to Florida was split in memorable and not so exciting times!

Tomorrow afternoon it is time to say San Diego good bye but I really looking forward to arriving at Zurich. Finally for Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone!

San Diego, USA (7)

This is probably my last message before I leave San Diego. School is already over. Now, I'm waiting for the final exams which are taking place next Tuesday (writing parts) and Friday (speaking). I'm optimistic but at the same time a bit nervous! You never know what kind of questions you get! Can be easy, can also be kind of hard!

Now, I'm sitting in front of my desk and wonder what should I do one day before the exams? Study? The problem is I'm exhausted now. I've done so! I need a break with learning English. Maybe I should just relax.

Finally, we are still planing our few days before we're return back home. One imaginable plan could be: Short visit in LA forward to Death Valley, then move to Las Vegas, where we might take a plane for a stopover in Florida. We'll see....

Anyway, happy holidays!
